Anna deFazio holds the Sydney-West Chair in Translational Cancer Research, University of Sydney at Westmead Hospital. She is co-Deputy Director of the Sydney-West Translational Cancer Research Centre and heads the Gynaecological Oncology Research Group at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research. Anna is the lead investigator on INOVATe, a program focused on precision medicine and ovarian cancer clinical trials. She is also an investigator on a number of other collaborative studies including AOCS. The focus of her research is on understanding the clinico-genomic parameters that underlie response and resistance to systemic therapy, and ultimately, to improve treatment outcome for women with ovarian cancer.
